    2. Restart the server or computer hosting the company file.
    3. Use the QuickBooks File Doctor tool to repair any possible file damage or network connectivity issues.
    4. Verify the hosting settings on all workstations. Only the server or main computer should have hosting enabled.
    5. If necessary, move the company file to a different location and try opening it again.
    6. Temporarily disable any security or firewall software that may be blocking QuickBooks file access.
